Ernest J. Grosso, Optometrist
After graduating from La Moyne college in Syracuse New York, Dr. Grosso spent a year teaching High School science in upstate New York. He then spent 4 years as a naval officer, serving at Great Lakes Naval Station and aboard the U.S.S Washburn. After teaching a semester at Marian High School he began a 4 year program at UC Berkeley to earn his Doctor of Optometry Degree. He returned to New York State and joined a practice in North Syracuse. After 3 years he returned to California, starting a practice in the growing community of Santee. Several moves later he settled on his present location, 9025 Carlton Hills Blvd. in 1987. He has been a member of the local Rotary and Lions clubs, began a volunteer Optometric practice at St. Vincent De Paul village, has had additional practices on campus at SDSU and Grossmont College and shared a pratice in Mission Valley. Doctor Grosso has lived in Santee since 1978, raising 3 beautiful children with his wife Linda and supports the Santee Community in all ways.
